WHERE WERE YOU TEN YEARS AGO? We were two-years-old, the workload was huge, and there was more money around. I didn't have any clue about self-preservation; I nearly killed myself.
HOW HAVE THINGS CHANGED IN THE LAST DECADE? My cellphone used to be the size of my laptop now, so technology has definitely changed. Digital is here. There's so much expertise around now and people have specialised a lot more.
BIGGEST CHALLENGE? As a service destination, we need to keep showing clients something new - new talent, new locations. Keep it fresh.
BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT? Being online. You can back up everything you're saying with images and references instantly, so there's no confusion about what you're saying. There's so much you can do before the client even arrives.
HIGHLIGHT? Working with Wim Wenders. Whenever I get a board from a client, I'm happy. It means they're are coming back to me and to South Africa, so we're doing something right.
TEN YEAR GOAL? To remain current. To make a movie, which I have never wanted to do until recently.
