Founded by Kathy English-Brower in 2001, The Filmmakers Guide to South Africa is currently working on its 10th range of annuals. Over 60 000 books have been distributed to more than 25 countries, making The Filmmakers Guide to South Africa the most recognised, established and representative brand marketing the South African film industry locally and internationally. The Industry is a film book with a tourism edge, providing an overview of the various industry sectors and South Africa as a whole; Service and Co-Production showcases what South Africa offers international clients as a service destination, highlighting our facilitation companies and co-production possibilities; while Creative Showcase is focused on South Africa`s visual talent, from directors and cinematographers to photographers, animators and visual effects artists, among others. The upcoming 2011 books mark the 10th edition of the range, which was nominated for an Imbongi Award for Marketing Cape Town in 2009.
